Round patches / XL-Round patches
|
Round patches:
|
|
|
| |
Round patches are used in the same areas as knot patches. They come to use when a knot-free surface is needed.
This is a cheap damage repair system for simple woodwork. Because
of its visibility after being inserted in a wooden surface,
the round patch is more and more replaced by the high-class
multiple-groove patches
(e.g. M20), for the
more high-quality woodwork.
To insert round patches a plunge router is used.
For easy insertion the round patches are chamfered on one side.
Manufacturing tolerances -0,0/+0,3 mm.
Please be aware that the round patches should be stored at 40-55% air humidity (equal to 8% wood humidity). If the round patches are stored in other environments the wood humidity will change and through this also the diameter of the round patches.

XL Round Patches:
|
|
|
| |
XL-Round patches are extra large round patches and used to cover screw joints.
The height of 20 mm is used in the glued laminated timber industry to cover screw joints
according to the fire resistance grade F30-B. In this context please remember DIN 4102,
where an individual verification can be necessary. Warranties for the fulfilment of fire
resistance grades cannot be given.
