Wood patches
|
| |
Wood patches are commonly used to easily
and neatly remove resin galls and other wood damages.
Processing
The damaged part is milled out with a milling machine and the appropriate milling cutter. Apply glue into the milled groove and insert the wooden
patch. To ensure a perfect surface, plane the slightly projecting
part with a sanding machine, planning machine or our concise planning machine.
The design of our wood patches ensures a tight hold after insertion in the milled groove and does not
need additional fixation.
Possible Uses
To remove resin galls we recommend our small single-groove patches. But not only resin galls, cracks and damaged edges
can be easily removed with our damage-repair-system, but also e.g. dead and loose knots, tree edges or in-grown bark,
to ensure a perfect surface.
Wood patch types
We have a wide variety of patch-types in stock. This starts
with single-groove patches with a width of 5 mm up to our big multiple-groove
patches with a width of 42 mm. The length of the patches varies from
about 6 cm to 50 cm.
The idea
The basic idea of all wood patches is identical: The pointed ends
of the patch merge with the surrounding timber and harmonise with
the wood structure.
This ensures that there is no abrupt break in the surface texture and thus the repaired spot is almost invisible for
the viewer.
